Our client is a well-established, growth-oriented manufacturing company recognized for its commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. They are seeking an experienced Buyer II to support procurement, supplier management, and cost improvement initiatives across key product lines.
Key Responsibilities

Manage inventory levels for assigned materials to ensure optimal availability and alignment with business goals.

Evaluate and disposition excess or obsolete inventory.

Partner with Strategic Sourcing to identify and develop supplier relationships.

Negotiate contracts and pricing to meet quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
-
Expedite materials as needed to support production schedules.
-
Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal departments.

Address supplier quality or delivery issues and coordinate corrective actions.
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction projects.

Develop and achieve departmental objectives aligned with company strategy.
Qualifications
-
Bachelorโs degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.

Minimum 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles; Six Sigma certification preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
-
Experience sourcing metal commodities is an asset.
